In the first five months of 2021, Vietnamese-Russian trade reached US$2.21 billion, up 21.4 percent from the same period in 2020.

In the first 5 months of 2021, Russia supplied Vietnam with 27,410 tons of pork with a value of 74.96 million USD, increasing 6 times in volume and nearly increasing 5.5 times in value over the same period in 2020.

According to Decision 17 of the Trade Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) dated March 5, Vietnam will no longer enjoy the GSP of the EAEU from October 12. This change is expected to strongly impact businesses whose goods exports are enjoying GSP to the EAEU.
